Our story
Our (left to right; Mitchel Anneveldt, Mees Boeijen and Oscar van der Vleuten) journey began to make capturing moments more than just a digital experience. We wanted a simple way to enjoy tangible memories, the excitement of holding a printed photo in your hands, and the beauty of sharing those moments with others.
The vision behind Lomo is simple yet powerful: to keep you in the moment and provide memories delivered right to your doorstep. We believe that every photo tells a story, and every moment captured deserves to be cherished in a physical form.
Our journey is fueled by the belief that every photo is a piece of art, every memory is a treasure, and every moment is worth preserving.
First Lomo prototype
The first version was extremely rough and simple, consisting of a rotation wheel and a button. We were exploring the best gesture to mimic the motion of an advance wheel for taking pictures. Our goal is to make the app as easy as possible for capturing moments and turning them into memories.
Our first envelop shipment
Our first ever Lomo envelop was sent on November 3rd 2023, we improvised with the Lomo logo and a white written stamp. We experimented with many types of packaging. Our goal is to make sure your pictures are well protected on their way to your door, but also make Lomo feel like a gift from you, to you. In the end, we set on the distinctive Lomo envelope we use today.
